Fairmont Southampton Hotel
THE STORY: 4Winds Studio Painting was brought in initially to prepare and paint the new spa area at Fairmont Hotel. As the project unfolded however, 4Winds was asked to take on more areas in the hotel.
In fact, by the time the Fairmont's renovation project was completed, 4Winds Studio Painting's role had been increased to include, the full lobby area, all conference rooms, the conference rooms' paneled hallway, the ballroom, the main restaurant, the disco, the repair and re-paint of 86 staff apartments, re-staining of the three-floor Grand Staircase, multiple retail stores in the hotel, the penthouse suites, the golf shop and the beach bar and restaurant.
We were given a finish date that was carved in stone due to the grand re-opening festivities and bookings that were already being planned and arranged during the huge renovation.
4Winds Studio not only completed on time, we were 10 days ahead of schedule.
Although our contract and our responsibilities were complete, we decided to remain on site helping the other trades and hotel staff meet the deadline so the Fairmont's grand re-opening would be on time and successful.

Seaside Cottage Restoration
The Story: This very old cottage, an historic property, had to be stripped down to its bones - from pipes to wiring, flooring to ceilings - absolutely everything needed replacing.
So, when we at 4Winds Studio Painting first saw the place, it really was just a shell.
We met daily with the contractor/builder, to make sure we coordinated and scheduled our respective tasks to achieve the absolute best finishes.
We set up work stations in vacant areas and took the opportunity to prime all new trim and woodwork on both sides before it was installed. This ensured the new trim and mouldings would be preserved for another lifetime.
Some traditional stained wood elements remained, so 4Winds Studio created custom tinted stains and varnishes so any new wood details matched the existing, aged wood.
We created very soft natural colours for the walls in each area which were subtly highlighted by a bone-white colour chosen for doors, trim and window frames.
When the old cottage was complete, the restoration and 4Winds Studio's painting and finishing were featured in Homes & Garden magazine.

Lach Residence
The Story: This new, but classically designed home had a typical builder/developer paint job and the client called 4Winds Studio Interior Painting to upgrade the quality of the look and feel of all the finishes on the ceiling, walls, woodwork and mouldings.
The client also had a very clear idea of the colours she wanted for each room, so we created custom mixed colours that we matched to various fabrics and even the woodgrain colour in the dining room, which we matched to create the wall colour there.
