Little spaces we've painted that make big impressions
When it comes to affordability, speed and impact on a space, nothing compares to skillfully applied paint

Inside this dingy mud room there was a beautiful entry foyer just waiting to be exposed
You could barely call the little entryway a foyer. In fact nobody did call it a foyer they called it a mud room. The wall colour even looked muddy. Yes, it was a dowdy little space.
But everyone knew it had possibilities. It had really nice locally milled woodwork that was just begging for a rich colour and a proper finish to make it glow. And with a good choice of wall colour, this little forgotten space could be the striking and welcoming entry foyer it was meant to be.

The client asked us if we could match the deep, vibrant fuchsia in these fabrics.
Colour-matching:
The customer showed us a colour in a few pieces of fabric she had. It was a colour she had always loved but she had never been able to find a paint chip that came close to matching the fabric.
On site, Four Winds Studio always keeps paint tints /colourants close at hand to custom match a colour that a customer or designer is interested in capturing from fabric, item or possession.
We are able to make a small test batches and apply sample colours right on the wall, next to trim or ceilings so that customers and/or their designers can consider colour choices and ideas in total context of the space.
When a sample colour we’ve created is chosen, we create a formula and place it on file at the local paint supplier, so the new custom colour will always be available to the client and/or designer.
Four Winds Studio has created hundreds of custom colours for clients this way – matching colours in fabric or items and decor they own.
